You're right, restarting from scratch isn't ever really restarting from scratch. You retain all the information and experiences from whatever you've done so far!
And I'm studying a bit of Rust and R as the languages. I'm primarily studying them through textbooks. Hopefully I'll enroll in a class for them in the fall.
